Thanksgiving Acorns

I might have spent a few hours on Pinterest looking for Thanksgiving desserts. I’m usually in charge of desserts, so I try to have fun and try new things each year. I came across a fun and easy dessert that not only tasted sweet, but also looked adorable. Acorns made out of doughnuts! These acorns took no time at all and they looked great on the dessert table. While I could have made my own doughnuts, I decided to buy a box of Entenmann’s Popems! The best thing about these is they could be eaten for dessert, and maybe even a sweet breakfast!

Ingredients:

Box of doughnut holes (or homemade doughnuts)
Chocolate frosting
Nutella
Chocolate sprinkles
Pretzel sticks

Directions:

1. Take one doughnut hole and dip in Nutella. Dip into chocolate sprinkles. Break pretzel stick in half and push into the doughnut hole. Put on plate so the Nutella can set. Repeat process until you have the amount of doughnut holes you desire.

OR

2. Take one doughnut hole and dip into frosting (may need to use a knife to spread on to doughnut). Dip into chocolate sprinkles. Break pretzel stick in half and push into the doughnut hole. Put on plate so the frosting can set. Repeat process until you have the amount of doughnut holes you desire.

I decided to do half Nutella and half frosting, and they both came out great!
